3D Design Challenge II – 3D Mouse of the Future

Get ready to show off your design skills and compete for the grand prize of a £3,000 CAD workstation! So what's the challenge?

Design your ultimate 3D mouse - no holds barred!! The only criteria is to ensure your design integrates 3Dconnexion's existing controller cap. After all, it's the heart of a 3D mouse, so look after it!

How to enter:

1. Download the 3D mouse controller cap CAD files (multiple file formats are available in the zip file)
2. Integrate the controller cap into the design of a new 3D mouse
3. When you’re ready, upload images, a description of your design (up to 500 words) and some information on how you created it (e.g. software applications used) using the entry form on this page.

The challenge begins July 11, 2011 and ends September 31, 2011.

Monthly Winners
At the end of each month a panel of judges will select their favourite three entries and award monthly 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd prizes.

Monthly prizes
1^st prize: SpacePilot PRO 3D Mouse
2^nd prize: SpaceExplorer 3D Mouse
3^rd prize: SpaceNavigator 3D Mouse

Grand Final
At the end of the challenge, the nine monthly winners will be entered into the Grand Final with a public vote deciding the Grand Prize winner.

Community Wildcard
The entry with the most “Likes” on Facebook will also be entered in to the Grand Final.

Grand prize
A custom workstation from Workstation Specialists up to the value of £3,000.
